Coming to you from a New Location!

I have been home for nearly 2 weeks now.

The Drive down was long and we struck some bad weather. We left Auckland at 4-30am and arrived in Christchurch around 10-30pm so not to bad going in the big scheme of things.

I am also into the second week of my new job, so far so good as well. All the staff are nice and friendly, but ATM I'm just watching how things are done.

On the stitching front things last week, were a little slow, my days were big and long so I didn't get much done, but some progress is better than none.

So I continued to work on "Winter Goddess"

"Winter Goddess" Before
"Winter Goddess" 12th August
"Winter Goddess" Flowers Up Close
So HAED had a Sale I only brought 1 chart I was very restrained

"Ruby" by Rachel Anderson
Its the full size version of Birthstone "Ruby" I love all the reds, and her face looks so serene.

I also have some bad news, there is a big craft store directly opposite 1 of the stores I am in, there goes my craft budget.

Last up I have also made a start on my "Jelina" SAL that I am doing with Thea, so here is a small picture until the update next month on the 11th

"Jelina Melita" Day 1
Sorry its a bit blurry. but you get the jist.

So that's all to report! More next time.

Take Care all.

Happy Stitching!

I'm so glad that you made it home safe and sound, given the weather situation, and that the new job is looking well :)
Now, as to that stitching progress, WOW! Winter Goddess and Jelina are just...well WOW gorgeous! Your stitching keeps me in awe, my dear.
Two thumbs up for you HAED restraint, and I am just LOLing about the craft store across the street...too funny. Of course, this comes from the girl who has not one store with anything stitch related (other than Michaels ;)) within 100 miles of her so I am filled with envy. :)
Enjoy this new life phase, and keep us posted...also cannot wait to see how "Ruby" begins.
Hugs
Ma

Living next to a craft store would certainly put a dent in my household expenses budget, I imagine some weeks the kids would be eating Peanut Butter and Jelly three times a day. Good luck with that.

Very glad to hear you are settling in at the new job - starting somewhere new is always scary. You were very strong to only buy one chart, I "accidentally" ended up for four new charts!

You call that small progress?! They are all looking great, well done.

You've made some beautiful progress! And I'm impressed by the restrain of just one HAED...I bought my first four! And I think I'm going to have to add Ruby to the wishlist! Good luck with the new job!

So glad you made it home safely, you made good time. We are doing the same trip in a couple of months with a 3 year old on board....I am dreading it!!!
So pleased to see you have made some progress on your stitching, you have done more than me, I really must get my stitchy bug back. Looking forward to seeing more of the SAL and winter. YAY for having a craft shop so close too, maybe you wont miss Ribbon and Rose as much now :)

I have a few crafts stores in my area so I understand your problem quite well. Nice to know you arrived safely. Your stitching progress looks great. Your little bit done seems like a lot to me! Good for you on your restraint with this last HAED sale. I was bad, but for me it was worth it.

Looking forward to your next blog post. :)

Pretty soon here Gardener will be there too!!! :D

Got a lot done on winter despite your busy schedule. :)

One more thing... you might need a revolving credit at the craft store. ;)

Glad the move went okay, and that you're settling in.
I'm still seeing progress, I think more progress than I manage in a good week.
I love Ruby, I bought her a while back, but as is often the case, haven't started yet.
Can't wait to see both yours and Thea's progress pics
